Shift At Midnight supports single-player and online co-op for up to three players. Xbox lists online co-op as two to three players.
Xbox console and PC Game Pass players can play together. Steam remains separate. Bun Muen plans wider crossplay but has not announced a date.
The official Steam listing describes Story Mode as 13 randomly generated shifts, so a fixed demo customer order is not a safe full-release walkthrough.
The current Steam page says a major Endless update is planned for Q4 2026, while Bun Muen’s FAQ and July announcements describe a beta unlocked after Story Mode. Because those official pages disagree, check the current mode menu and latest patch notes.
